House Of Delish: The journey of two sisters lived in different continents

Founded by two sisters, Shweta and Shreya, Houseofdelish is a food blogging page that shares recipes, restaurants, and food recommendations to food-based travel stories. Currently, this page has 27k followers on Instagram. The name Houseofdelish is born from their love for food often made at home.

These two sisters themselves follow a healthy lifestyle, and it’s not a surprise that their page is also based on recipes with a healthy twist. Pay a visit to their page, and you’ll be welcomed with recipes of various scrumptious meals, including Meethi Maathi, Mango Shahi Tukra, the infamous Cholle Masala, and many more. Apart from recipes, you’ll also notice various products and healthy substitutes from different businesses on their feed. They show food from their travels as well.

Beautiful and unexpected are how these sisters describe their journey so far. Although they lived on two different continents, it has given them the opportunity to explore more and put all of this knowledge into Houseofdelish. They started this journey in 2017. “Every time any small business or a local brand approaches us to promote their product, we think that we are rising and are on the right path,” says Shweta adding that it was actually their first collaboration with an Indian brand that brought a sudden rise in their blogging career.

Shweta reveals that good content and useful hashtags have made them gain thousands of followers on Instagram. But their page is also available on Facebook. Their love for this work is what pushes them to keep going and has taken them to the stage they are today. By promoting products they believe are good, and their audience will be interested in, this duo has gained the trust of their thousands of followers.

Shweta, a food science postgraduate, discloses that she would have probably been doing some in-depth research work in that field if she wasn’t an Influencer marketer. For Shreya, she is an IT professional working in an MNC and is pursuing Houseofdelish side by side.

She suggests that influencer marketing drives more sales for products and services of a brand as it helps to increase brand exposure, drive website traffic, build audiences for both influencer and for the company.

They are associated with some PR teams like Mompresso and Tinysteps that have helped them to connect better with the brands.

Once when Shweta used to live in Kenya and Shreya in India, the duo struggled to manage the content for Houseofdelish on the initial days. But after some time, they took control of the situation, and Shweta started to manage Kenyan brands and Shreya Indian brands.
